The purpose of this role is to achieve sustained growth, profitability, market share and customer satisfaction for the Global Pump Product lines through the planning, forecasting, and marketing of assigned products through all stages of the product lifecycle. This involves working at both a strategic and tactical level across all relevant markets and regions.
This includes Celeros FT’s ETO (“engineered-to-order”) and CTO (“configured-to-order”), centrifugal, reciprocating, screw, and specialty pumps, including the associated parts, services, and aftermarket components in each of these categories. The global pump markets served are focused on, but not limited to, oil & gas, nuclear power, conventional power, renewable power, petrochemical, and Industrial sub-segments.
The incumbent will work with market sector leads, NPD management, regional sales, multi-site operations, and global design centers, leading teams to develop new products, market, and manage the lifecycle of pump products.
Success in this role requires a comprehensive understanding of market conditions and customer needs, combined with an understanding of the features, functions and benefits of API 610 Centrifugal Pumps, API 674 Reciprocating Pumps and associated auxiliary skidded equipment.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Product line strategy and planning
- Gather and analyze market, customer, and competitor intelligence to identify and quantify opportunities for growth and margin expansion in new and emerging markets.
- Gather the voice of customers & insights of key stakeholders.
- Define value proposition / product differentiation that provides competitive advantage
- Identify new markets and quantify opportunities.
- Develop Global List Pricing strategy and advise on regional pricing strategies.
- Develop product aftermarket strategies
New Product Development
- Develop and oversee plans for new product launches
- Manage product launches according to defined NPD development stage gates
- Lead and involve project teams in post-launch after action reviews, and ensure relevant learning is captured, shared, and acted upon.
Product Lifecycle Management
- Develop product lifecycle management roadmaps for pump products already in the market
- Rationalize and retire products at the appropriate point in their lifecycle
- Ensure products achieve targeted price margins
- Ensure products meet specifications & agency certifications.
- Collaborate with R&D, sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop product definitions responsive to customer needs and marketing opportunities
Product & Market Training and Promotion
- Define and maintain Global Product Training plan.
- Provide technical and commercial support to Sales and Operations as required
- Coordinate with Marketing Communications to facilitate market collateral strategies.
- Support promotion of the product externally with customers, partners, & media

SPECIALIST PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE
- Technical and Commercial Product experience with engineered-to-order and configured-to-order centrifugal, reciprocating, screw, and specialty pumps as related to, oil & gas, nuclear power, conventional power, renewable power, petrochemical, and Industrial markets.
- Technical and Commercial understanding of EPC sales strategies, price lists and selling strategy both direct and via channel partners.
- Familiarity with API-610 High Energy Pumps in the energy market
- Experience with designing and driving a full product life-cycle model across range of industries.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Development, or related field
- Master’s Degree preferred
- Ten plus years of relevant experience in industrial / manufacturing environment
- Pump product and market knowledge in Oil / Gas and Energy Sectors
