Job Summary


This role is to provide management for all aspects of site outage projects for our Oil and Gas customer base in the UK.


The TAR Manager will be accountable for the planning and execution of the turnaround projects, including problem solving/solutions and ensuring that costs are in line with budgets. The TAR Manager will have direct responsibility of the turnaround team, setting goals and maintaining a safe working practice.



Principle Duties and Responsibilities


  • Plan, coordinate and manage all aspects of site turnaround projects
  • Will be the single point of contact for the client and interface for internal customers involved the quotation, contract review, purchasing, invoicing and collections
  • Lead and direct CFT site service team in execution of turnaround projects
  • Maintain a safe working regime at all times and ensuring company and client safety policies and procedures are followed.
  • Work with the field service team to ensure that the correct skill mix is deployed to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Monitor site progress and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Develop and maintain alignment of Business objectives, site requirements and TAR process.
  • Produce regular progress updates for company and client.
  • Expedite goods and services associated with TAR outage
  • Develop risk management and contingency plans
  • Ensure performance of sub-contractors and that they comply with our own safety standards.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time and to budget.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • Fundamental knowledge of pumps and associated equipment.
  • Background in either field service or workshop service of rotating equipment and experience with TAR projects
  • A sound and up to date knowledge of EHS policies and requirements.
  • Must have a “can do” approach and a strong awareness of what is needed to make things happen when under pressure.
  • Good people management and team building skills
  • Strong focus on delivery of output to achieve bottom line results; has strong awareness of what is needed to make things happen when under pressure.
  • Sound commercial awareness
  • Problem solving and analytical skills. 



Education and Experience


  • Engineering qualification is desirable or Bachelor Degree in relevant discipline.
  • Experience in the management of TAR projects

  • While on a client’s site performing the duties of this job, the employee would be near moving mechanical parts and equipment of various sizes. The employee would be occasionally exposed to fumes and airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in this work environment is usually loud.
