GENERAL SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Lead SAP Analyst (VC, PP, PS) is to own the architecture of mission-critical manufacturing processes. You would be a high calibre SAP specialist serving as the global subject matter expert for our Variant Configuration (VC), Production Planning (PP), and Project Systems (PS) landscape. Extensive experience in Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW) is expected, functional knowledge of other related modules such as Quality Management (QM), Materials Management (MM) and Sales and Distribution (SD) would be highly beneficial. In this strategic role, you won't just support a system—you will shape the digital backbone of a global leader in power, oil & gas, and industrial engineering. You will lead business process re-engineering, drive M&A integration, and mentor a world-class team of innovators.

 

 

 

Key Strategic Impact

  • Process Architecture & Ownership: Act as the ultimate owner for the SAP VC, PP, and PS modules, ensuring seamless integration across global business units.
  • Strategic Project Leadership: Lead high-priority business systems integration projects and contribute to M&A strategy from an ERP perspective.
  • Digital Transformation: Facilitate BPR (Business Process Re-engineering) workshops to eliminate legacy inefficiencies and implement best-in-class manufacturing workflows.
  • Executive Advisory: Partner with senior leadership to provide technical expertise that drives global decision-making.

 

 

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Owner of SAP VC, PP, PS and supporting SAP functionality
  • Analysis and documentation of current systems (processes, functions, methods and practices)
  • Documentation of SAP ERP processes using prescribed systems analysis methodologies
  • Configuration of one or more modules of SAP to meet documented user requirements
  • Testing of configured SAP System
  • Specification of reports, interfaces and special programs
  • Education of key/end users in system operation
  • Installation support after system go-live
  • Resolve implementation issues to obtain system “sign off” from management
  • Resolve business issues and user problems
  • Progress resolution of SAP VC, PP, PS and other SAP issues as assigned
  • Liaise with users to ensure full understanding and proper documentation of business requirements and communication of solutions
  • Record progress within Celeros’ help desk systems
  • Provide business systems expertise to senior management
  • Provide support to Production Planning, Scheduling and Variant Configuration with its integration to external systems, while identify opportunities for business improvement
  • Determination of best practice processes for business units utilizing SAP
  • Organise, participate in and facilitate business process re-engineering workshops
  • Implementation of new processes and education of business user
  • Support executive decision-making process by providing SAP expertise.
  • Contribute to Business Systems projects as Lead or Team Player
  • Partner with business leaders in support of high priority projects and initiatives
  • Project Management responsibility as assigned and when applicable
  • Lead business process and business systems integration projects within specified process areas
  • Produce functional and technical specifications to support development of interfaces and integration of SAP and other Celeros FT business systems
  • Provide SAP expertise to Program and Project Management
  • Assign and manage SAP resources assigned to specific projects

 

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy
  • Experienced configurator for SAP VC, PP, PS modules
  • At least four full cycle SAP implementations as VC, PP, PS Specialist with Manufacturing industry
  • Experience communicating with global business users and other functional stakeholders regarding business operations and process improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience collaborating with multi-person virtual teams
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented, have excellent initiative and possess strong analytical skills
  • Strong personal motivation, excellent work ethic and positive, team-oriented mindset

 

 

 

Mandatory Education and Experience

  • Engineering or Masters degree in IT or computer Science from recognised university
  • 10+ years specifying, configuring, deploying and supporting SAP VC, PP, PS and integrated functionality from other SAP modules
  • Deep functional and technical understanding with demonstratable working knowledge of SAP ECC and 4.6
  • Experienced in global manufacturing and MTO/CTO/ETO environments
  • SAP VC, PP, PS consultant certification and/or certification in other mainstream SAP ERP modules
  • Proficient in MS Office (particularly MS Excel) and MS SharePoint
