Job Summary
This role is responsible for the planning and execution of all export activities for product and materials for Aftermarket and Original Equipment. Managing the shipping team ensuring regulatory compliance for shipments, all essential shipping licences / documentation, and review of internal processes and procedures to ensure efficient operations of the team.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Overseeing and handling shipment operations and customer requirements for global export of product and material.
- Meeting compliance at all times to regulations which includes internal policies and procedures and external government regulatory requirements.
- Point of contact for export shipping compliance functions and regulatory bodies in conjunction with other functional points of contact across the Celeros organisation.
- Review, update and maintain internal processes and procedures to continually drive process improvements whilst aligning with high quality standards.
- Supervision of the shipping team driving performance, knowledge sharing and team dynamics.
- Work collaboratively with the project management function to ensure original equipment or associated material shipments are planned for in a timely manner with necessary export licences and compliance documentation.
- Plan and coordinate shipments in line with production and on time delivery requirements.
- Perform operational activity to release and close manufacturing work orders.
- Customer invoicing in line with physical shipment, quantities, values and Celeros invoicing standards.
- Coordinate and prepare international logistics documentation requirements relevant to customer orders (e.g., customs declarations, packing lists, invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin etc.)
- Liaise with freight forwarders to organise shipments and support gathering of essential information to assist with shipping arrangements.
- Ensure all shipping information is provided to appropriate internal and external parties.
- Processing customs documentation and reviewing for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed on time to provide customs clearance.
- Problem solving and developing short notice solutions.
- Act as the point of escalation for export shipping issues.
- Maintaining the freight database
- Prepare timely information and reports as specified and requested by management.
- Other duties as required.

- Strong knowledge of export regulatory requirements, shipping and customs documentation and ability to track regulatory changes.

Education and Experience
- Relevant experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Hands on experience of exporting internationally, understanding of customs regulations and export controls.
- International trade qualification, Import / export qualification or training is desirable.
- Supervision of a team is advantageous.
