SERVICE CENTER HELPER - Great Opportunity with Competitive Pay and Benefits:

JOB SUMMARY
Receives inventory, puts into relevant location, organizes jobs and facility, learns product and helps mechanics as needed.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receives goods and puts into relevant inventory baskets.
- Controls inventory log and assigned goods log.
- Packages goods for shipment per corporate SOP.
- Makes local runs for pick-up and delivery.
- Maintains clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
- Assist in daily shop cleaning.
- Assist SVC mechanics when needed.
- Familiar with use of micrometers, calipers and gauges.
- Willing to learn from SVC Mechanics with the future of moving into an SVC mechanic role.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Previous work experience with Inventory control, shipping receiving environment.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Ability to write simple memos and correspondence.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school or GED required. Desired – trades school machining.
- Ability to use common hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, electric drills and saws. Pass forklift training.
