Job Summary

The Manager- Supply Chain will be responsible and accountable for deployment of strategy that adds critical competitive commercial advantage to Cleanova’s brands based at the Jaipur site, including Filtration, and leading the procurement activities, The responsibility is to manage and supervise all aspects of material flow, cost reduction, supplier OTD and supplier quality. This includes maintaining control and accuracy over all inventory, including all transactions, purchases (including receiving), and costs to ensure that materials are provided for operations to fulfill customer orders on time & also responsible for partnering with global class management and sourcing, developing supplier relationships, supplier reduction/evaluation/certification, inventory control and compliance with customer specifications.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops and implementing purchasing strategy (3% sourcing saving and improve margins).
  • Reviews and processes purchase orders for Components of Filter elements, Air intake systems.
  • Planning, procurement, price negotiations and follow up with vendors.
  • Foster, develop and maintain strong, positive working relationships with suppliers, customers, the leadership team, and employees.
  • Responsible for contract management in relation to all materials.
  • Create, maintain, and execute material logistic strategies to manage inventory and control excess and obsolete materials. Leading the stores and logistics team to execute these strategies effectively.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Inventory and Purchasing modules of the organization’s business system.
  •  Ensure optimal focus to maximise price savings, rebates, group redistribution and commitments.
  • Oversee the procurement function utilising acceptable purchasing practices.
  • Work with the employees and managers to procure the appropriate supplies and equipment within agreed upon time frames.
  • Coordinates with fellow managers to monitor inventory and determine supply needs.
  • Lead the standardisation of supplies and equipment within the organisation, including leading a specialist indirect buyer to deliver advantage for the site and wider business.
  • Lead the resolution of equipment and  supply  quality  and  service  problems  with  vendors.
  • Maintain a professional environment in interactions with vendors.
  • Responsible for selection of suppliers considering quality of service and cost to the Plant.
  • Coordinate the reconciliation process for invoices with the Accounts Payable department when price and quantities do not agree with the purchase order.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual departmental operating and capital budgets; operates each function within the approved budget.
  • Coach, lead, and develop team leads and members to ensure organisational goals and objectives are met.
  • Responsible to fulfil all compliances related to procurement and supply chain.

  •  Financial skills including cost modelling, cost analysis, make vs. buy analysis.
  • Ability to directly understand and relate the impact of the function to the wider organization.
  •  Good interpersonal, organizational skills, negotiation skills, attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

 

Education and Experience

  • Masters in related field would be desirable as would formally engineering background.
  • Diploma In material Management.
  • Depth of knowledge and experience in Strategic, Operational and Tactical Global Procurement and Project, Supply Chain Management Principles & Fundamentals and compliances.
  • Strong background in the management of materials and sourcing within a design and manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in total quality, lean, six sigma, or other similar environments.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment — SAP is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to demonstrate solid written and oral communication skills.

 

Physical Demands

  • Required daily to stand, sit, walk, talk, hear, and see (specific close vision abilities are required to perform computer work).
  • Required occasionally to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
  • Required regularly to travel (usually by air or road so may be required to sit for extended periods), specifically to support other sites referenced in this description. Travel approximately 10-20%.
  • Required daily to use hands and fingers and arms to reach (to operate a computer and telephone).
  • Required occasionally to lift and/or move objects that are light to moderate.
