Reporting to the Nuclear Quality Manager, you will be responsible for performing QA/QC function as related to being an audit team member, documentation review, inspections, CMM inspection, preparing the final doc packet, verification of assembly/ testing and co-ordination with Authorized inspectors. These  are required to be performed in accordance with our documented Quality Management System and procedures. Good knowledge in manufacturing / fabrication, welding, assembly, installation and NDE.  Working knowledge with the following codes and standards - NQA-1, ASTM, and ASME Sec. I, II, III, V, VIII, and IX is preferred. 

Additionally, the Quality Specialist shall have demonstrated capabilities in planning oversight, inspections, examinations, and testing; in setting up tests including preparation and set-up of related equipment, as appropriate; in maintaining surveillance over vendors’ inspections, examinations, and tests; in reporting inspection, examination, and testing results; and in evaluating the validity and acceptability of inspection, examination, and test results.   



  • Performing visual, and mechanical inspection of purchased or manufactured parts using measuring and testing equipment, as per the procedures 

  • Perform inspection with CMM / Faro Arm / Vison systems 

  • Performing Final inspection as per the drawings/ specs . 

  • Preparing a Non-Conformance Report (NCR) for nonconforming items. 

  • Assembling and creating data packs including surveillance reports, inspection, CMTRs and other related documentation.  

  • Co-ordination with Authorized inspectors/ External inspectors representing customers. 

  • Perform inspection at vendor site before releasing the material. 

  • Quality system audit for internal/ suppliers 

  • Handing other assigned work-related functions as deemed necessary and appropriate by your immediate supervisor. 




  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques, test equipment and procedures, and assembly applications. 

  • Ability to: 

  • Read and interpret blueprints. 

  • Assemble a weld/repair map. 

  • Understand welding processes and documentation. 

  • Inspection skills along with CMM capabilities 



  • Strong computer skills including: 

  • Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP, JDE or similar. 

  • Strong MS Office Suite skills, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. 


  • Knowledge of the valve industry is highly preferred. 

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast-paced and demanding. 

  • Strict attention to detail. 

  • Self-directed with excellent initiative. 

  • Proven ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy. 

  • Ability to work under stress and deliver to deadlines on-time. 

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. 

  • Strong organization and prioritization skills. 



  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent. 

  • Five combined years of satisfactory performance in Quality Assurance and Quality Control manufacturing environment. 

  • Training in the use of CMM or electronic arm Measuring equipment.
