MANUFACTURING ROUTING SPECIALIST
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Routing Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and be comfortable working across multiple product lines. This individual will play a critical role in coordinating and optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient workflows and timely production. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team are essential, along with experience in machining, welding, and assembly.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and optimize manufacturing routes for multiple product lines in accordance with production requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments, including engineering, production, and inventory teams, to ensure accurate and timely completion of production processes.
- Review and update routing data within the SAP ERP system to ensure consistency and accuracy across all product lines.
- Analyze current routing processes and propose improvements to enhance operational efficiency and minimize waste.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure proper job scheduling, resource allocation, and compliance with safety standards.
- Track progress and assist with troubleshooting or addressing production issues as they arise.
- Maintain thorough records of routing changes, revisions, and any relevant documentation.
- Assist with training staff on new routing procedures and ERP system updates as needed.
- Provide ongoing support to ensure accurate and efficient execution of work orders and production schedules.
- Performs other duties as required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in machining, welding, or assembly processes.
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems for managing routing and production data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) to create and manage reports, schedules, and communications.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to learn and adapt to multiple product lines and processes in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, while managing multiple priorities.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to process improvement.
Education and Experience
- AAS degree in industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering.
- 3 - 5 years of routing experience in a manufacturing environment or in a similar role.
