MANUAL MACHINIST - 2ND SHIFT

Rate of Pay: $30-$32/hour depending on experience, plus quarterly bonus based on company goals

Work Schedule/Hours:  2ND SHIFT - Shift Differential $2.50/hour    Hours:  1:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Our Machinist produces machined parts by operating manual machines, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies. 

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Read, write, speak and comprehend English.
• Add, subtract, multiply, divide, and work with fractional measurements and decimals.
• Set up, adjust, and operate all machine tools in your area of responsibility to produce various parts within specifications from blueprints.
• Read and understand manufacturing mechanical blueprints, and use good basic math skills in addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.
• Work accurately with basic keyboard and monitor to enter work order data and correct qualities as required.
• Hold very close tolerances and surface finish requirements.
• Working knowledge or ability to learn to use a micrometer, depth micrometer, dial indicators, CMM, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Maintain conscientious work behaviors including work ethic, safety standards, quality, costs, and On-Time Delivery (OTD)

   Education and Experience

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5+ years of manual machining 
• The ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and other documents.
• Proficiency with measuring equipment, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
• Computer proficiency.
• Experience working with stainless steel or duplex stainless steel preferred.
