This position’s primary purpose is to partner with the local functional and operational leaders to deliver generalist HR support in line with the strategic objectives of the Celeros FT HR team.  Support designated management population to improve capability and facilitate the delivery of the end-to-end employee cycle.

Responsibilities for this role include initiating, managing and executing generalist HR activities such as recruiting, new hire processing, on-boarding, employee relations, supporting performance management and improvement processes and talent health checks, salary planning, etc.  Additionally, this role is responsible for projects as assigned, in areas such as payroll, compensation and benefits administration, policy and procedure creation, HR continuous improvement/Lean, etc.  The HR Generalist will be responsible for ensuring the organization has the structure, culture and talent needed to deliver on business goals and mitigating institutional risk.  This role may assume additional duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of employment law and work well with others. Additionally, they will have strong customer service skills and be able to communicate effectively with employees at all levels throughout the organization.



  • Administration and delivery of human resources policies and procedures to ensure people managers have the appropriate tools to enable their teams to meet their objectives.
  • Provide functional / operational management with assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving work performance gaps or staffing needs
  • Advise and assist managers in preparing disciplinary documentation, performance improvement action plans, and employee relations responses. Analyze facts and provide guidance, recommendations and resolutions to managers and employees.
  • Support the talent acquisition process ensuring an efficient and timely end-to-end process.
  • Work with HRBPs in relation to termination documentation preparation, employee and manager counselling, and managing third party providers.
  • Deliver group training sessions to managers in relation to all employee relations issues as appropriate
  • Work with managers to reduce absenteeism within areas of responsibility.
  • Update and maintain group HR trackers.
  • Administer and communicate changes to employee benefit programs to all employees.
  • Evaluate and ensure processes exist to enable all employees to foster understanding of their business unit, company goals and objectives.
  • Devise and plan controls for new or established HR processes to prevent inaccurate data, loss of data and to ensure discovery of data errors, including data privacy compliance (GDPR).
  • Identify or generate reports as needed to provide management information to operational leaders and provide information to support people related activity.
  • Plays key role in ensuring working procedures comply with laws and regulations; stays informed of laws and regulations through professional reading, electronic professional websites and legal counsel.
  • Work on HR projects to optimize the HR proposition and service delivery.
  • Analyze Employee Engagement trends per annual survey and support facilitation of improvements with management population.  Lead the Employee Engagement team at the site.
  • Support the planning and delivery of the end of year performance and reward cycles.
  • Prepare, schedule, and facilitate smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments.
  • Manage payroll system including bi-weekly payroll processing and submittals, hourly employees validations, and time clock monitoring.
  • Oversee site administration for car passes, badges, uniforms, company branding, ordering, etc.



  • Knowledge of HR related laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of positive Employee Relations.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast-paced and demanding.
  • Proficient in all MS products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability in creative problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communications and perform a variety of tasks including special projects with a degree of creativity and latitude.
  • Relies on minimal instructions and pre-established guidelines, may require independent judgement to perform the functions of the job. 
  • Ability to work in a change focused environment while remaining dedicated to service delivery.
  • Ability to work with SLAs & KPIs. 
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with a high level of professionalism and discretion.




  • 2 - 3 years expereince in an HR function
  • Good understanding of Human Resource concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent work experience required.
  • Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skills.
  • Exhibits a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy.


  • HR Professional Certification
  • Manufacturing experience
