Reporting to the VP, Legal, the successful applicant will be a key member of the Celeros Flow Technology Legal team, supporting business-wide initiatives and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.  In addition to the provision of general advice and guidance on all legal matters, the Legal Counsel will work closely with operational and commercial leadership teams to ensure that operations are carried out in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The incumbent will advise on compliance matters, claims and litigation management, supporting on the drafting, review and negotiation of contractual documentation, with the successful applicant expected to lead in business-critical contracts and play an active role in complex transactional work.





The successful applicant is expected to:

  • Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, e.g. customer and supplier contracts, IT agreements
  • Support the organisation in the assessment and strategy for claims and litigation, working with the appropriate business personnel
  • Work closely with the commercial teams, including leadership teams on a broad range of commercial matters, including compliance (including agent and distributor compliance and trade compliance), real estate matters, together with such other legal duties as required
  • Provide counsel to business teams on corporate governance and intellectual property related matters
  • Participate in M&A transactional work and associated transaction documents as and when required
  • Reduce risk/exposure within the company’s commercial agreements while maintaining good external and internal customer relationships
  • Develop programmes to educate and counsel business leadership teams in commercial and compliance matters
  • Support the development and evolution of Company policies, procedures and programmes to underpin the business’ long-term continuous improvement culture
  • Assist in leading the development and execution of legal compliance training for the business
  • Partner with external counsel where required to ensure the achievement of strategic business outcomes





  • Proven track record of meeting commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity and in accordance with Celeros FT Values
  • The ability to take full ownership of and responsibility for projects, adding value to internal risk reviews and external customer negotiation strategies
  • Strong skills in analysing, drafting and negotiating contracts, including customer and supplier terms and conditions
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of laws and regulations impacting the Company, with an international mindset
  • Pro-active, positive and independent approach to work and results oriented outlook
  • Commercially-focused, enthusiastic team player with the ability to thrive under pressure and manage changing tasks in a fast-paced environment, adapting to evolving business needs as required
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and Power-Point
  • Fluency in English is essential





  • Law degree required
  • 5 years post-qualification experience within an in-house, corporate legal environment or law firm
  • Experience working on compliance matters, corporate governance, commercial contracts, intellectual property, claims and litigation, together with all matters requisite for the provision of general in-house support
  • M&A transactional experience preferred
  • Experience with privacy and GDPR related matters preferred
  • Experience with cost-effective management of outside legal resources





  • Glasgow, UK (Aberdeen, UK will be considered)
  • Up to two days per week remote hybrid working will be considered
