GENERAL SUMMARY

The Commercial Assistant is responsible for inward order booking, invoicing, commission allocation and order handover for the Commercial Aftermarket function

 

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Take order bookings and ensure that order throughput is managed in a timely fashion.
  • Prepare customer invoices and liaise with customers for timely payments.
  • Liaise with other members of Aftermarket team on a regular basis for updates of orders & update order status to customers.
  • Liaise with other key internal departments such as Finance and Shipping.
  • Ensure compliance with commercial departmental procedures.
  • Manage the pre handover and handover process to projects team.
  • Ensure Export compliance is strictly adhered to.
  • Train new commers in the team.

 

 

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrates great customer relationships – inside and outside of the organization.
  • Proficiency in SAP & Microsoft Excel is must.
  • Has good attention to detail and is numerically minded.
  • Seeks ways to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Works well within a team environment.
  • Educated to Standard level qualifications or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience of working within a support role in a commercial/financial department.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of company product portfolio.
