GENERAL SUMMARY:

The CNC Miller will be responsible for the operation of CNC Machinery mainly a DMG 180 5 axis with a Siemens Shop mill control. You will also be responsible for the self-inspection of finished goods from the machine to ensure process control is maintained. Responsible for following all health and safety guidelines within the Shopfloor environment.

 

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

  • Operate and program CNC Machinery including the 5 Axis DMG 180 siemens Shop mill control.
  • The ability to set and machine components using own initiative
  • Quality assurance inspection of parts according to drawing
  • Maintain efficiency records of equipment
  • Perform safety and housekeeping tasks
  • Perform all machine safety start up duties
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks

 

 

SKILLS:

  • Strong numeracy/mathematical skills are essential.
  • Mechanical skills
  • Must be capable of operating CNC Milling machines and manual machinery including jib cranes.

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Time served Machinist apprenticeship

Machining experience in manufacturing setting.

Experience on CNC Mills machines essential.

Programming experience required.
