Our pumping technology is used to carry out all kinds of critical industrial functions. The vast majority of nuclear power plants currently in operation around the world employ our reactor feed pumps. We are also a valued flow control engineering partner to the oil/gas industry - supporting upstream, downstream, transportation and offshore exploration activities. Other key areas we address include defence applications, seawater desalination and water supply.

What you’ll be doing:

• Gain an excellent understanding of our product lines and how they operate.
• Develop your knowledge, skills and experience across the different aspects of the Application Engineering discipline and wider Commercial function in an engineered to order environment.
• Work on all aspects of pump selection, cost estimating, proposal related activity up to and including final pricing in accordance with the end-to-end Tendering Policy & Procedure process.
• Have the opportunity to collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations & Manufacturing, Project Management, Finance and Legal to appreciate what they do, why they do it, and the associated commercial considerations.
• Work through a 4-year internal apprenticeship training programme.
• Attend day release college and complete all assignments and examinations to obtain relevant publications.
• Complete SCQF publication in conjunction with the education provider.
• During the apprenticeship complete and present a variety of projects on engineering subjects related to your training
