Job Summary:

We are actively recruiting for a skilled Welder with experience in piping systems associated with API 610 centrifugal pumps to be based at our Ghaziabad manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding on process piping, ensuring compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and safety regulations. This is a 6 day working role and will report to the Production Lead.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform welding activities on carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping used in API 610 pump systems
  • Interpret and work from isometric drawings, P&IDs, and welding procedure specifications (WPS)
  • Execute various welding processes such as GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), and/or GMAW (MIG) as required
  • Execute various joints like socket weld/ Fillet weld and butt weld and others.
  • Maintain fillet sizes as per WPS.
  • Ensure proper fit-up, alignment, and joint preparation before welding
  • Maintain weld quality in accordance with codes such as ASME Section IX and applicable project standards
  • Conduct visual inspection of welds and coordinate with QA/QC for NDT (RT, UT, PT, MT)
  • Perform 100 percent RT witness on Butt Welds
  • Perform preheating and post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) when required
  • Repair defective welds and ensure compliance with acceptance criteria
  • Follow all safety procedures, including use of PPE and safe handling of welding equipment
  • Maintain tools, welding machines, and work area in good condition

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 10th standard pass is mandatory with ITI certification or any welding certification or related trade recognized in India.
  • Valid welder qualification certificates as per ASME Section IX or equivalent
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial piping, preferably with API pump systems
  • Proficiency in TIG and Stick welding (mandatory); MIG is an advantage
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in oil & gas, petrochemical, or refinery projects
  • Knowledge of API 610 pump piping layouts and alignment requirements
  • Familiarity with NDT processes and quality control standards
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

 

Working Conditions:

  • Work may involve outdoor and industrial site environments
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights if required
  • Willingness to work shifts and overtime based on project needs
