Job Summary
Incumbent of this role will be part of our procurement team and will report to SCM Manager. This
role is responsible for supporting the full scope of Sourcing and procurement processes by
providing the best conditions in terms of quality, price, delivery terms, technology and
sustainability in accordance with guidelines and all in compliance with local as well as group
regulations and procedures.
In general, it is required the incumbent is from engineering background and technical knowledge about Pumps
castings, machining, forging & fabrication and may have knowledge of estimation or costing of these items as
per drawings. Also have knowledge of supplier management, cost reduction, lead time monitoring and
management, quality monitoring and management. This position will be based at our Ghaziabad office.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
• Market research and sourcing from competent supplier according to the requirement. Must be working on pump component commodity likes casting, machining, forging & Fabrication.
• Define regional sourcing strategies for responsible purchasing category.
• Participate in the selection of Suppliers by analysis, evaluation and handles operational relations and interfaces with selected suppliers.
• Takes ownership of purchasing activities form supplier identification, qualification to introduction and required escalation, timely PO release to supplier.
• Establish strong relationship with key suppliers improve the overall supplier relationship management.
• Developing high level purchasing strategy which identify the best product and service available.
• Leading supplier performance recovery & improvement activities.
• Managing the whole contract negotiations with the suppliers and coordinating the supplier, Legal department and related technical units to complete purchasing process.
• Performing the control of payments to suppliers at the right time and working co-ordinately with the finance and account department.
• Following up the logistic to maintain the delivery of the goods on time and ensuring the arrival of the orders to the factory properly.
• Expedites purchase orders to ensure on time delivery, this includes physical visits to suppliers to check on progress.
• Collaborate with other team members to identify areas for cost savings.
• Evaluating supplier performance and identifying areas for improvement.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to analyse data to make informed purchasing decisions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Proficient in English language – both written and verbal. Excellent communicator to bring common purpose to tasks and strategies (internal – external)
• Competence in Microsoft Office packages – Excel, Word, PowerPoint are prerequisites
• Technical ability to learn and understand proprietary sizing & selection of company software
• Organized, be able to manage multiple tasks professionally
• Good time management, sets and meets deadlines and assigned objectives.
• Understanding of engineering principles related to designated business unit, especially about our API Pump product line
• Ability to read, interpret and accurately respond to technical specifications related to costs of items.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal personnel

Mandatory Education and Experience
• B. E in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering in regular course from recognized Institute/University in India.
• 8-12 years of relevant industry experience in purchase of casting, forging, fabrication & machining components. experience in Pump industry is preferred.
• Experience to do Techno commercial negotiation with good drawing study knowledge.
• Mandatory to have Excellent communication and negotiation skills
