You will machine and produce complex parts on lathes, VTL and HBM machines to specifications accurately and in a timely manner. Machinists must be highly skilled and participate as important members of various lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities. We will look to you to bring a safety-first mindset. You will work from prints, process sheets, with written and verbal instructions to tolerances of .0005.



  • Work from prints, sketches and verbal instructions.
  • Makes standard shop calculations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds and speeds, to machine a variety of materials efficiently.
  • Plans and lays out work using a variety of tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Makes own setups using all shop support tooling sine plates, rotary tables, universal heads, knees, jacks, etc.
  • Machines all types of material holding positional and size tolerance as required by drawing and or sketch.
  • Keeps detailed notes recording all work they have completed.
  • Interact with shop supervision, project management, engineering and other employees.
  • Immediately notifies shop supervision of any non-conformances / discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Use overhead bridge crane and jib crane to position components safely in a position for work to be performed.
  • Use gauges, calipers and micrometers to measure work.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that interfaces well with customers and company team members.
  • Follow safety procedures to assure a clean and safe work environment is promoted and maintained.



  • Able to read blueprints
  • Basic math skills, including percentages and the ability to count accurately.
  • Measuring skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills for daily interaction with fellow employees.
  • Good communication and writing skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision while following routine procedures.
  • Safety and Quality oriented, with attention to detail.
  • You also will need to be willing to work overtime, call-ins, etc. as needed to meet customer requirements.




  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 5 years’ experience running the Horizontal Boring Mill.
  • 5 years shop experience in machining of close tolerance medium to large size parts.



Capable of physically pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs. Must be physically fit for standing, bending, and using hand tools. Hand tools include air grinders, air impact tools, sanders, hand wrenches and hammers. Must be able to physically lift up to 50 lbs. Must be physically fit to turn, push buttons, and work with levers on the machines at knee-waist level and above.  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Warehouse conditions are in line with Celeros Flow Technology EHS regulations and country legislative safety requirements with regards to safe walkways, shelving and general working areas.  Due to the nature of the environment, temperatures can range depending on seasonal conditions.  Noise can often be at levels that require hearing protection due to vehicle movements and general day to day activities in the nearby workshop.  All PPE is provided for by the company.  The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
