Sales, Inventory, and Operational Planning (SIOP) Manager

 

The primary responsibility of the SIOP Manager is to define, implement and support the Celeros FT Sales, Inventory and Operational Planning process.   The role will focus on consensus demand planning and long-term demand planning.  Supports the facilitation of the demand planning meetings, the supply planning process, the financial reconciliation and the final SIOP plan review. The role will be dedicated to implementing Celeros FT policies and procedures across the business and driving the adoption of Celeros Excellence System and tools to support the SIOP process.

The individual must be comfortable in a low-volume, high-mix complex project (ETO, Engineered to Order) environment and be capable of working across a diverse team of stakeholders through the challenges and opportunities that this environment can create.  The ability to manage and interpret complex data and drive decisions through data are fundamental to the role.

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Builds and manages tools and processes that support key objectives such as demand, capacity, and supply planning, and inventory management to result in a consensus forecast
  • Develop capacity planning process to align and balance supply with demand to provide input for labor and equipment requirements for short and midterm planning
  • Creates, monitors, and maintains SIOP metrics and key performance indicators, identifying potential risks and opportunities
  • Determine target inventory and planning method policies for major products with input from Product Managers, Commercial Operations (ComOps) and Global Manufacturing Organization (GMO) teams.
  • Responsible for system integrity relative to planning parameters (sales forecast, safety stock parameters, planning time fence, lot size, general accuracy of material master data, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain team to optimize consignment and VMI programs with key suppliers and maintain visibility into supplier capacity/constraints
  • Develop RACI for SIOP, inventory and Capacity planning
  • Work with NPD and VAVE teams to develop phase-out / phase-in inventory strategies
  • Improve product transition management with intelligent lifecycle data, process, and analytics including advanced leading indicators like sales funnel, spec analysis, and market intelligence.
  • Coach and mentor planners to increase their skills and capability in preparation for promotion within Celeros FT

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain; or related field. 
  • 7-10 years of Consensus Sales Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) experience
  • ASCM CPIM certification and Materials Management experience preferred.
  • MBA in a business/engineering related field preferred 
  • Proven record of progression in management roles and experience
  • Required to have worked in a manufacturing organization that was predominantly ETO product and be familiar with medium/large scale capital equipment projects
  • Energy, Aerospace, Industrial Equipment industry experience preferred

  • Business acumen: Ability to drive solutions to complex operational and financial issues
