1.0          Job Summary

The Autodesk Vault Administrator / Technical Analyst is responsible for the support, configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Autodesk Vault and associated engineering systems within a global manufacturing environment.

 

Working as part of the Global IT team, the successful candidate will provide day-to-day operational support, contribute to system enhancements, assist with technical integrations, and support project delivery activities. The role will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Development, and other business stakeholders to ensure engineering data is managed securely, efficiently, and consistently across multiple global sites.

 

2.0          Principle Duties and Responsibilities

 

2.1          Autodesk Vault & Engineering Systems Support

  • Support, administer, configure, and maintain Autodesk Vault and associated engineering applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues relating to system configuration, software deployment, performance, interoperability, installation, and database connectivity.
  • Support users across multiple global locations, providing timely resolution of incidents, requests, and system issues.
  • Manage Vault upgrades, patches, testing, deployments, and ongoing application maintenance.
  • Support the administration of users, groups, roles, permissions, and security settings to ensure the protection of engineering intellectual property.
  • Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for improvement, optimisation, and standardisation.
  • Work with Engineering Site Leads and/or external vendors to investigate and resolve complex issues.

 

2.2          Integration & Data Management

  • Lead the design and implementation of integrations between Autodesk Vault and other business systems.
  • Assist with engineering data migration activities, including data import, export, mapping, validation, and cleansing.
  • Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives using APIs, scripting, and standard integration technologies.
  • Contribute to maintaining engineering data quality, governance standards, and system documentation.

 

2.3          Projects & Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in project activities including requirements gathering, testing, user acceptance support, deployment, and post-implementation support.
  • Work with IT and business stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve engineering processes and system effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, technical documentation, user guides, and knowledge articles.
  • Deliver user training and support adoption of system enhancements and new capabilities.
  • Assist in managing engineering software licensing and usage compliance across the business.

 

3.0          Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 5-8 years of hands-on experience supporting Autodesk Vault and/or SOLIDWORKS PDM (ePDM) in a global enterprise environment.
  • Experience supporting Business-as-Usual operations as well as project delivery activities.
  • Experience designing or supporting technical integrations between business applications.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably Engineer-to-Order (ETO).
  • Experience working across multiple sites and with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.E. / B.Tech.) from a recognised university preferred.
