Job Summary
Reporting to the Sr Manager – Engineering Operations and responsible for maintaining and managing supplier database, training new and existing users on usage of the Supplier management portal and providing support for other initiatives like expanding supplier diversity, pattern management, supplier scorecards, audit reports etc.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Support as administrator (user management, manage KPIs/other data) of the Supplier Database portal.
- Support end-users by training and answering questions related to Supplier Database portal.
- Analyse business requirements with representatives of Celeros, creation of specifications based on the requirements and final confirmation of the deliverables from suppliers.
- Release planning and review material groups and category codes.
- Coordinate for frequent updates with/to global sourcing team.
- Compare, analyse and optimize suppliers and monitor progress.
- Support pattern management and back-up for pattern manager (maintains pattern register for movement and traceability)
- Support other sourcing initiatives such as expanding supplier diversity, preparing supplier scorecards etc.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Data maintenance experience
- Knowledge of Supplier Management portal in SAP, Oracle, Meercat or any other major system.
- MS office proficiency
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and BOM.
- A team player approach.
- Excellent communication skills.
Education and Experience
- B.E mechanical/industrial/production engineering in full time regular course from recognised university and institute in India
- 3-6 years of experience in a similar role preferably Valves or Pumps industry
