Senior Application Development Analyst

1.0          Job Summary

The WebMethods Consultant reports to the Architect - SAP Technologies. This individual provides architectural and system design, support of production issues, change requests and projects. The Ideal candidate will be a key technical contributor and lead a small webMethods development team. They will work closely with internal Celeros IT teams, project managers, business partners and external stakeholders/vendors to deliver best in class Middleware integration solution. This role will be based at our Bangalore office.

2.0          Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Works on various Celeros integrations – both new and existing services.
• Follows Celeros development and quality standards and processes.
• Develop fool-proof and high quality custom webMethods code.
• Administers webMethods environments and configuration
• Coordinates & executes webMethods system patching and upgrades
• Translate functional requirements into technical design and should possess the ability to communicate the design to the stake holders.
• Work on technical development and create all necessary documentation including architecture design documentation.
• Understands and uses Universal Messaging where applicable
• Performs unit and integration testing of development objects.
• Prioritize own tasks to ensure optimum utilization and fast turnaround on development requests.
• Provide regular status update to team lead and manager(s).
• Engage in continuous learning and self-improvement efforts.
• Able to multi-task and work extended hours/weekend when required.

4.0          Required Education and Experience

• B. Tech/B. E/MCA in relevant stream through regular course from recognized university and institute in India
• 9+ years of demonstrated expertise in designing, developing, and implementing webMethods integration solutions.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining Java services in webMethods.
• Design and implement resilient and complex integration solutions with strong error handling and recovery mechanisms and able to deploy them to production in controllable change management process.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to data integrity, message loss, and duplicate processing
• Mandatory: Hands-on experience with Integration Server and Universal Messaging, including a minimum of 6 months working on webMethods v9.8.
• Mandatory: Hands-on experience with the webMethods SAP Adapter, including 6+ months on SAP Adapter v7.1.
• Mandatory: Experience using SQL within webMethods integrations, specifically for database-backed services via the JDBC Adapter (e.g., creating/troubleshooting SQL used in JDBC Adapter services, validating results, and resolving data-related issues).
• Proven experience working in an offshore development model, collaborating effectively with distributed teams.
• Demonstrated experience providing support to webMethods customers and stakeholders in all locations that Celeros operates in, primarily Europe and North America, including managing incidents and driving resolution.
• Strong, hands-on experience implementing and supporting integrations using the webMethods SAP Adapter.
• Mandatory: 1+ year of hands-on experience with Universal Messaging (experience with Broker is not considered a substitute).
• Hands-on experience with webMethods v9.8 or above.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong reading comprehension mandatory in English.
• Strong working knowledge of webMethods Designer, Universal Messaging, SAP Adapter, and JDBC Adapter.
• Good understanding of quality processes and tools, strong debugging capability (including debugging without relying solely on pipelines), and familiarity with My webMethods Server (MWS).
• Ability to develop and troubleshoot both Java services and Flow services with equal proficiency.
• Hands-on experience building integration services using SAP/JDBC Adapters and Universal Messaging.

Nice to have: Experience implementing integration scenarios using the Microsoft .NET Connector
