Job Opening:  IT Director - Digital Automation



The IT Director Digital Automation is an Information Technology Leader that optimizes the use of data and transactional systems to automate and improve business processes across all areas of the organization. These
includes the design, implementation and execution of projects and the maintenance and support of several non-ERP applications. 

This leader has solid technical SAP ERP experience, strong project management  acumen, excellent vendor management skills and outstanding service-oriented (business first) approach. Also, this leader will harness the power of the Data to develop new business models, improve productivity and accelerate business results through powerful data-based insights. 

This individual will work with the different functional areas to develop business cases, use cases for automation technologies (Artificial Intelligence, Robotic Process Automation, etc.) to improve productivity, cycle times and transaction costs. Then he/she will direct the projects to realize the benefits of these technologies. 

As a member of the IT senior leadership team, the role, he/she contributes to the development and execution of the enterprise-wide IT strategy and ensures its alignment with the enterprise's business strategy and the delivery of capabilities required to achieve business success.

As a member of the IT staff is constantly looking for opportunities to maximize the impact of technology in the Organization. As a leader be able to influence the organization and develop business success factors to ensure Application Projects are successful in improving company outcomes. The incumbent will be based at our Bangalore Shared Service office / remotely working from India and will report to the CIO of the organization.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities
• Owns the IT business relationship with the CFO and the CHRO.
• Able to select (when needed), manage and develop a small team of technical professionals in the area of Automation (AI, RPA, Development).
• Establish strong productive relationships with all business stakeholders.
• Establish the appropriate governance structure for the Non-ERP Applications of the company. Including proper optimization, prioritization and sequencing of the work, resource allocation and application portfolio management

• Translate needs into requirements by holding requirements gathering sessions and collaborating with stakeholders throughout the company in Finance, Product Management, Commercial, Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and Supply Chain groups. This includes understanding of key KPI measurements for those areas.

• Translate BI needs into requirements by holding requirements gathering sessions and collaborating with stakeholders throughout the company in Finance, Product Management, Commercial, Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and Supply Chain groups. This includes understanding of key KPI measurements for those areas and how to collect data and create dashboards and reports that allow for analysis of the opportunities to improve those KPIs.
• Lead a team of around 6 technical professionals for Development, Automation and Business Intelligence areas to execute projects
• Lead projects to improve automation and document management systems of the company.
• Gather, analyse, and identify opportunities for enhancements; work closely with business and technology partners to seek and provide effective resolution to business issues.
• Design, implement and deploy enterprise business solutions to promote profitable growth and the maturity of our underlying business processes.
• Collaborate with IT ERP Application Director and IT Commercial Applications to align strategies, manage data and develop automation.
• Define the engagement success criteria with business users, track and monitor progress during engagements and ensures deliverables are met.
• Create documentation to assist business users and IT members in designing & effectively using the solutions developed.
• Develop in partnership with the business appropriate digital business strategies included but not limited to document management, IIoT, Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence
• Appropriate communications skills with C-suite leaders, subject matter experts and technical professionals
• Lead and directly manage a small team of global employees supporting the corporate SAP ERP applications, data analytics and AI.

 

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Leading multifunctional teams through coaching and influence.
• Deep knowledge and understanding of SAP configuration and functional processes for Product and Project Systems for SAP ECC 6 implemented for Engineer to Order processes.
• Deep knowledge of Data Management, RPA, AI and development languages required in these areas.

• Deep understanding of Data Bases, Data Analytics Technologies, Extraction, Transformation and Load technologies and Visualization Technologies
• Practical knowledge of agile development methodologies and DevOps
• Practical knowledge of Big Data, Data lakes, distributed databases and cloud computing
• Understanding of Data Regulations, Export Compliance and Intellectual Property management processes

 

MANDATORY SKILL REQUIREMENT
• SAP ECC 6.0. SD, FI, CO, MM, PP, SAP data structures, SAP Basis and working knowledge of SAP transactions and processes and SAP Xi, SAP DS, iDocs.
• Microsoft Development (Power Apps, Co-Pilot, RPA, Power Platform, Azure).
• PowerBI, Microsoft reporting technologies and Data Mining.
• Experience with AI, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing and Robotic Process Automation.


Education and Experience
• B.E/B.TECH in CS/IT or MCA/ Master in IT/CS through full time course from recognised university and institute in India
• 15+years of relevant experience in SAP ERP domain and latest 5+years of expertise in the Digital automation & Data Analytics with MNC manufacturing/industrial organizations/ clients,
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in managing small global teams
