Job Summary

The incumbent in this position is responsible for supporting the Corporate Accounting and Finance function.  In addition to the responsibilities outlined below and under the guidance of the Finance Manager, this role will be responsible for recording and reporting all daily cash activity, managing intercompany accounts and transactions, preparing home office statements, assisting in consolidation process, monthly closing procedures, SOX compliance testing and process improvement projects. This role will be based at our Bangalore office, reporting to Shared Service Finance Leader

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Records company cash and reconciles bank accounts including wires, lock box deposits, ZBA account activity and investment accounts as applicable.
  • Compiles cash data and maintains reporting of corporate cash spend.
  • Manage Home Office (inter-company) billing process including producing and distributing invoices and statements.  Assists various business unit staff with cash and receivable inquiries.
  • Assists in Corporate allocations and chargeback processes. 
  • Supports corporate consolidation process, which includes use of Hyperion Financial Software to open the period, load FX rates, upload trial balances, and monitor reporting between corporate and business units, clearing any out of balances, also requires analysis of cash flow variances and any other significant fluctuations.  Works directly with the business units and corporate team.
  • Assists with SOX compliance testing, providing audit documentation to external auditors and backup support to various department functions as needed.
  • Assists in Corporate Process Improvement initiatives and other corporate finance ad hoc projects.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of General Ledger accounting
  • Experience with SAP and HFM preferable
  • Strong analytical and communication skills required

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting from a recognised university and institute India is must. Relevant master’s degree is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of finance/General Ledger accounting experience in a global environment with a product company is required
  • Experience in using SAP, HFM and MS Office
  • Ability to interact with management in a proactive and professional manner
