GENERAL SUMMARY

The Regional Sales Manager – Pumps  will be responsible for sales and business development activities for assigned brands, products, and services across both Original Equipment (OE) and Aftermarket (AM) portfolios, serving key Power & Energy end users within the assigned Middle East territories. This includes responsibility for new equipment projects, pump packages, and aftermarket services such as spares, repairs, upgrades, and rerates across Kuwait, Egypt, Caspian, and Libya.

As Regional Sales Manager – Pumps they will proactively engage with both new and existing customers to expand the customer base, develop and strengthen long-term relationships, and support capital project pursuits as well as aftermarket growth. Responsibilities include identifying and developing OE project opportunities, promoting replacement equipment, overhauls, upgrades, and lifecycle solutions for key Oil & Gas, Power, and Water end users, troubleshooting technical and commercial issues, and generating a sustainable pipeline of opportunities. The role also involves preparing and delivering sales presentations, developing sales forecasts and action plans, and defining clear goals to maximize market potential and achieve assigned sales and business development targets. In addition, the Job Holder will act as the local technical authority for CFT Clyde Union / Plenty / S&N Pumps Aftermarket, providing technical guidance and support to customers and internal stakeholders.

 

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Sell and promote Celeros Flow Technology (CFT) assigned products, packages, spare parts, and services across both Original Equipment (OE) and Aftermarket (AM) portfolios within the assigned territories, either directly to customers or through approved local agents and distributors where applicable.

  • Identify, appoint, and manage local agents and distributors in accordance with CFT policies. Ensure all due diligence documentation is completed and approved by the Legal Department prior to engagement.
  • Provide ongoing technical, commercial, and strategic support including training, joint customer visits, performance KPI definition, monitoring, feedback, and escalation as required.
  • Demonstrate strong technical and commercial expertise across assigned product lines and relevant industry segments, maintaining a high level of product and application knowledge.
  • Develop, maintain, and expand relationships with existing and prospective customers, establishing strong engagement with key decision-makers and influencers.
  • Proactively communicate with customers to generate leads, develop OE project opportunities, and grow AM business including spares, services, upgrades, and rerates.
  • Assess customer operational and project requirements, both current and future, and recommend appropriate CFT products, solutions, and lifecycle services, including alternative technical solutions where applicable.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure CFT products and services meet expectations and performance requirements throughout the equipment lifecycle.
  • Investigate customer complaints, coordinate corrective actions, and troubleshoot technical or commercial issues in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Interface directly with customers through meetings, site visits, and technical discussions to understand requirements, support project development, obtain order commitments, finalize designs, and resolve concerns.
  • Collaborate closely with Regional Sales Managers and internal stakeholders to share market intelligence, opportunities, and best practices.
  • Coordinate with Field Service Engineers and Service teams to develop and secure maintenance contracts and long-term service agreements.
  • Manage customer RFQs by reviewing scope, completing OES forms, securing internal approvals, and communicating quotation intent to customers. Ensure all opportunities are accurately recorded and maintained in CRM or equivalent systems.
  • In close coordination with Application Engineering and Product Management teams, review and interpret customer enquiries, specifications, datasheets, P&IDs, and project documentation. Support product selection, sizing, and technical clarification to develop compliant and competitive proposals.
  • Secure approval to quote and to accept orders in line with the Company’s established approval matrix, including for high-value opportunities and orders with exceptional commercial or contractual terms.
  • Coordinate technical and commercial reviews of quotations with customers and support negotiations to achieve successful order closure.
  • Organize and drive bid and contract preparation activities in compliance with Company policies and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Accounts teams to monitor customer credit status, payment terms, and any account-related risks.
  • Actively participate in order handover meetings with Manufacturing, Project Management, and Supply Chain teams, ensuring clear communication of all technical, commercial, and project-specific requirements.
  • In collaboration with the Line Manager / Regional Director, assess market potential within assigned territories and develop actionable strategies to maximize OE and AM growth and achieve business targets.
  • Execute agreed sales and business development action plans and continuously identify innovative approaches to increase market share and revenue.
  • Monitor market trends, customer developments, and competitor activities, and report insights, risks, and opportunities to management with recommended actions.
  • Prepare and submit accurate weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasts, customer visit reports, and pipeline updates, highlighting deviations from budget and corrective actions.
  • Prepare and deliver commercial, technical, and strategic presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent CFT at trade shows, exhibitions, seminars, and customer events, either directly or in collaboration with local agents and distributors.
  • Conduct all activities in alignment with Celeros Flow Technology values, policies, and procedures, ensuring full compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards.

Education and Experience

  • Degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing, Production, Fluid Power Technology) and three years customer facing related experience.
  • Five years’ experience in the oil & gas / power & energy market – essential
  • Relevant experience of Centrifugal Pumps, API 610, 614, 682 International Standards and major Pump end user’s within the middle east region essential
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
